2008 Contest Theme: "PEI in 2055"
 Attention Students
The Association of Professional Engineers of Prince Edward Island (APEPEI) is pleased to present the National Engineering Week Artwork Contest for
2008.
Our theme this year is: “PEI in 2055”.
We invite all P.E.I. elementary school students to submit an artwork project based on this theme.
To enter the contest please complete the enclosed registration form and attach it securely to the front of your entry. This form can be photocopied as many times as necessary. Please also write your name and school on the back of your entry in case the registration form becomes separated.
There is no registration fee. You can create a picture by yourself or your whole class can work together on a class mural.
Objective
To produce a colour poster or mural with the theme "PEI in
2055”.

What will be PEI look like in 2055, almost 50 years from now?

Individual posters are to be prepared by one student only on 11"x17" paper.
Class murals may be prepared on any large-scale paper or other suitable material at the teacher's discretion.

Individual prizes will be mailed to the winning students in care of the school. Class Mural prizes will be mailed to the class teacher.
Judging
Entries will be judged on both content and artwork.
All artwork must be available for judging at the Charlottetown
Mall in Charlottetown by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008. Entries may be sent in advance to the APEPEI office and must be received by
12:00 noon on Friday, March 7, 2008.
The length of the process will depend upon the number of entries, however judging is expected to take approximately two hours. The decisions of the judges will be final.
Artwork will be returned to students who are present after the judging. Any remaining artwork will be available for pick-up at the APEPEI office until the end of March
2008. Artwork not claimed will become the property of the Association of Professional Engineers of Prince Edward Island.
